Peeko, on camera

1 min read

The first video I have made since DesignQA. Why I left Google Analytics, how I built the replacement, and four questions I ask it out loud. Not a demo reel. The whole story in 24 minutes.

24 minutes. The demo starts at 15:13 if you want to skip ahead.

This is the first video I have made since I shut DesignQA down in June. Twenty four minutes, recorded at my desk.

It covers the three things the essays here have covered separately. Why I left Google Analytics: simple questions took an afternoon, and it made me put a cookie banner on this site just to learn where people came from. How I built Peeko: one model wrote the plan, a set of agents built it, and it ran next to Google Analytics for two weeks before I trusted a number. And the part the essays could not show: me asking Claude Code four questions about this site, out loud, and watching the answers come back through Peeko's CLI.

One answer surprised me. The best door into the rest of this site is the blank box post. 171 views, 22 minutes on the page on average, and the most likely to send someone to a second page. Google Analytics never told me that in years of using it.
